June 3, 1962 - January 27, 2019
Rick died suddenly January 27, 2019 and is at peace. He was funny, loving, spiritual, silly, caring, devoted, fisher, golfer, hiker, musician, nature lover, camper, doggie daddy, son, brother, father, step-father, uncle, grampa, husband and dear friend to everyone who knew him.
He loved children and youth and was unmatched in his ability to share with them his love of the outdoors, music, animals, hockey and football. His laughter was quick and infectious. He loved radically, and that love was returned 100-fold.
He worked to live, not the other way around. Most of his career was spent at Pacific Press Newspaper Group. He moved from Surrey with his loving wife, Jane, to Salmon Arm in September 2017 to be closer to the things he loved to do.
He expressed his spirituality through the United Church of Canada. He was inspired and supported by his journey of faith
He was generous with everything that he was and the memories are more than fond and warm, they are rich and tender and the best that life has to offer.
He is sorely missed by his wife, Jane Harding, children: Tammy (Jerry), Rick (Justine), Crystal (Jay) TJ and step-son Grahame; his grandchildren, Angela, Aiden, Asher, Kane, Brooklynn, Madison, Holden and Jessica; His siblings and extended family.
A celebration of life will be on March 2 at 2:00 pm at Cloverdale United Church 17575 58A Ave, Surrey BC. Refreshments to follow
