WALKER, Ross A. (Roy). June 27, 1924 - July 20, 2011. On Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Roy died peacefully and with dignity in Peace Arch Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Liisa Parsikangas, his children, Terri Harvey (David), Ross (Maureen), Jim (Donna), Yvonne, his eight grand- children and one great grandchild, his sister, Yvonne, his brother, Ken, his sister-in-law, Helja and her daughter Marjut, other extended family, and his many friends. He is predeceased by his first wife, Phyllis. Roy was born and raised in Vancouver. After marrying, he moved to Langley where he raised his family. Most recently, he has resided in White Rock. Roy always enjoyed the natural beauty of B.C. and through both work and pleasure boasted of having traveled on almost every road and highway in the province. He also enjoyed traveling to many other parts of Canada and the United States and spent many winters down in Arizona. In the last few years, he has stayed close to home, but right up to just days before his death, he enjoyed daily walks with his wife. By request, there will be no funeral service, but a celebration of his life will held later in August. Please contact Jim for information.
