It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Ruth Scott, age 94. She leaves behind her loving husband of 74 years, Henry, 3 children: Lorne (Shirley), Leslie (Laura), and Loretta; 4 Grandchildren: Philip (Natasha), Dianna (Brian), Lindsey (Ryan) and Lorne (Amanda); and 6 Great- Grandchildren: Lorne, Tyson, Matthew, Carter, Autumn and Zoe. Ruth immigrated to Canada from Denmark at age 4 and grew up in Ucluelet, BC. She joined the C.W.A.C. in July of 1943 and served until 1945 when she married Henry. They then built their first home together in Port Alberni. They moved to Surrey in 1956 and lived in the same home for the next 63 years. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
