1948-2020 ~ Siew Yin Lau, 71, Surrey, B.C. passed away on April 18, 2020 in Surrey B.C. after a long battle with Breast Cancer.
She was born in Kuala Belait, Brunei, and lived in Surrey, B.C. in Canada.
She is survived by her husband Joon Kiat; her 3 sons Cheong Peng, Chong Lai and Chong Yew; one daughter-in-law and one granddaughter; her loving sisters and brothers that live in Edmonton and Brunei.
Siew Yin worked as a registered nurse in Brunei. In Canada, she worked as a kitchen helper at St George's School. She cared for her 3 children and husband while working full time, and also during her entire treatment. She will be known as a wife and mother that always put her family before herself. She will be missed for her kindness and compassion for others and for her beautiful smile.
She enjoyed listening to Chinese music, talking to her sisters and brothers every day, and being told that she was loved.
Service will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, and burial on May 4th.
