Our mum, sister, niece, aunt, and friend passed away from long-term health issues on June 18, 2019. She is survived by her daughter Nicole, brother Steven McKay (his son Callum and daughter Lauren), Aunt Gail Carlson Weingart, and soul sister Fiona Raven (Wes).
Sue's entire career was spent working with children in the Surrey School District, first in early childhood education and later as an Education Assistant with differently abled children. She loved working with kids in her job. She was an artist at heart, expressing her creativity through embroidery, cross-stitch, and crochet. She also loved gardening, making quirky plant choices like purple carrots and creating fairy gardens. Sue expressed her love for others by thoughtful gifting (e.g. Peanuts characters to Aunt Gail). She was a devoted mother and a loyal friend, and will be greatly missed.
