Our beloved mother Verity Ann Forster passed away at Rosewood Manor in Langley, B.C. on Dec. 05 2018. Her passing was sudden after develping pneumonia 3 days prior. Despite advanced dementia the past 4 years, Verity remained eternally happy. Her bright and sunny disposition never
faded.
Verity was born in Staffordshire, England where she grew up before moving to Offham, Kent. She trained at Middlesex Hospital in London starting in 1948, to become an RN/Midwife. While working at Middlesex she met her husband John Melville
Forster.
John and Verity married in 1955 and immigrated to Canada in 1956 with their newborn daughter Sue. They initially lived in Vancouver while both worked at Shaughnessey Hospital. In 1958, they moved to Cloverdale where they worked together running Dr. Forster's office. They went on to have 4 more children- Jane, Tim, Prue and Jody.
Verity was truly loved by all those she met and was often referred to as our angel on earth. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, mother/sister-in-law, and friend. Her genuine kindness, compassion, generosity and optimism was unparalleled and an inspiration to all.
Her dedication and devotion to her children will never be forgotten. May she be reunited with her late husband and daughter Jane whom she deeply missed. She will remain in the hearts of her children and grandchildren who adored her. A short service and celebration of life will be held on Jan 12, 2019 at 2 pm at Victory Memorial Park. Surrey, BC.
