1931 - 2008
William passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness in Langley Memorial Hospital.
William was born in Rush Lake, Sask. to Gus and Wanda Burchart in 1937. The family moved to a vegetable and dairy farm in Cloverdale. William spent most of his life on the home farm and on the neighboring farms in the vicinity.
With the death of his mother in 1988 he retired to a condo in Francis Manor. Here he was welcomed and familiar figure in the coffee shops of Cloverdale.
William is pre-deceased by his mother and father Gus and Wanda Burchart and one brother Carl Burchart. William is survived by three sister, Sadie Moore, Rose Leenders and Marilyn Evan and three brothers Ed, Fred and David Burchart. William is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews. The family will sadly miss William.
Interment will be in Surrey Centre Cemetery Thurs., Oct. 23 at 11am. Family & friends welcomed. Followed by a memorial service at Cloverdale Baptist Church on Thurs., Oct. 23 at 1pm.
