Business as usual

The Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association recommends getting more money from car drivers – enough already!

Now that elections are over, a report commissioned by the Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association recommends getting more money from car drivers – $65 to $165 in vehicle levies.

No mention of a break for seniors or the people who just get by.

Enough already. Raise the minimum wage to $20 per hour. Then the business community can cry some more. All they want is to take, take, take.

Better yet, tax business 10 per cent more and let them start paying their share.
