Crackdown needed on illegal apartments

City to blame for the overcrowding problem in schools

It is the city’s fault there are no spaces in schools. Surrey has allowed all homes built to have illegal apartments – sometimes four to five in one house. These include a lot of children not on a census list. The landlords lie about how many people are in the house so transfer payments are not sent to the city.

Start cracking down on all of the illegal apartments in Surrey, fine the landlords a few thousand dollars until they are taken out and you will have started to solve your overcrowding problem. Stop the greed at city hall and all of Surrey.
