Delighted with transit vote

I realize that I am writing about “pie in the sky,” but then this is so typical of Canadian politics.

I am delighted with the transit referendum result – the “no” vote was larger than I expected.

It is apparent that the general pubic is more intelligent than the city politicians and the board of TransLink.

What needs to happen now, and of course it will not, is that the TransLink board should be fired and the politicians told to stick to politics.

A new board should be appointed with appropriate qualifications and the public kept fully in the picture as to what is happening.

I realize that I am writing about “pie in the sky,” but then this is so typical of Canadian politics.
