They want us to take care of the elderly/disabled at home. But trying to get that person to a doctor’s office is not always easy.
My husband is disabled and trying to dress him is very difficult. Then, because he cannot get out of the chair to the exam table, all the doctor can do at his office is check blood pressure and ask a few questions.
I understand a few doctors in Burnaby and Vancouver are making visits to housebound seniors.
It’s a good idea.
