Helping West Coast women

It doesn’t seem fair that a woman should have to choose between eating a meal or buying sanitary products.

I was inspired by Rebecca Denise of “Bitches Build Empires” when she created a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to provide free sanitary products for homeless women and transgendered individuals in Toronto.

I wanted to bring a similar experience to the West Coast – hence “Love All Our Women” was born.

According to The Report of the Greater Vancouver Regional Steering Committee on Homelessness, about 28 per cent of the homeless population in Greater Vancouver is female or transgendered, and of those, 30 per cent are within the age of menstruation.

It doesn’t seem fair that a woman should have to choose between eating a meal or buying sanitary products. I’m hoping to help take one less stressor away from an already stressful situation.

All donations will be put towards care packages for women in need. Each “Love All Our Women” care package will contain: tampons, pads, baby wipes and chocolate.
