Six weeks after the B.C. election, the government has announced the provincial debt will be higher than first predicted. How much higher?
The B.C. Liberals’ pre-election budget prediction has been downgraded within six weeks.
This budget has never been balanced. So much emphasis is placed on future liquefied natural gas productions when the world’s largest buyers of LNG, China, has committed purchasers in Asia and the Caribbean. It is widely predicted that LNG will be over-produced worldwide.
The Opposition party seems content to give the Liberals a free ride – at least until they get their own house in order.
Someone needs to hold the Liberal government’s feet to the fire.
