Komagata Maru apology applauded

Other expressions of sorrow would be welcomed as well

Letter writers applaud, and rightly so, the Komagata Maru incident apology delivered by Justin Trudeau on behalf of the Canadian community – today’s and presumably that as it existed in 1914.

It is now time for a genuine apology from the Sikh community for the terrible Air India bombing, perpetrated by Canadian Sikhs, against totally innocent citizens who were not being refused entry to any country but rather outright murdered because of, despite no connection or involvement in, the Golden Temple disaster.

Should I be afraid to submit this letter? Perhaps. But I am not holding my breath for an apology.
