LETTER: Cannabis ad on the Now-Leader’s front page was offensive

Reader says the advertisement should have been inside the paper instead

This was the false-front ad on the Jan. 21, 2021 edition of the Surrey Now-Leader.

The Editor,

As a friendly, family, local newspaper, I was offended by your front page advertising for a cannabis store in White Rock.

Is this really how we should be promoting this substance to our young people? Call me old fashioned, but have some class.

I realize that money by advertising is good for your bottom line, but please put it inside your paper if necessary.
