I have been hearing and reading a lot of stories about barking dogs in Surrey that cause disturbances in neighbourhoods.
I'd like to offer a word of advice to those who waste time and energy complaining about barking dogs. Reality check - you don't get to choose your neighbours.
If you choose to live in an area that's chock full of dogs or close to schools where lots of children play, that's your problem.
Confronting the dog owners isn't a wise choice, as it can often be a risky situation. Your best bet is to call the city bylaw department and let them handle complaints.
There are people in the world with real problems. Barking dogs are not one of them.
