Roses and Rotten Tomatoes (July 28, 2017)

Our weekly collection of compliments and complaints sent in by readers.

Rotten tomatoes to smokers who throw their cigarette butts on the ground at parks, at beaches and on streets, etc. Smoking may be your right but do you really have to throw them on the ground when you are finished? It isn’t cool to see it done in movies, much less in real life. How hard is it to put them out and then throw them in the garbage or stick them in your back pocket until you’re near a garbage bin?

Roses to the dad who, at the gas station pump, was about to fill up his car but noticed that the guy in front of him was leaving, so he quickly got back into his car and moved it forward so I could pull in too. That was really thoughtful, thank you.

Rotten tomatoes to people who continue to use plastic bags (the scourge of the environment) while there are recyclable bags available everywhere.

Rotten tomatoes to serious weirdos who stare at you. I don’t know how or where you were raised, but I was brought up to be more polite and respect others. Shame on you for being so ignorant.

Rotten tomatoes to rude people who bump into you and never say, “sorry” or, “excuse me.” Where are your manners? Shame on you for being so ignorant.

Rotten tomatoes to the strata that complains nonstop about an abusive, drunk neighbour yet does nothing. You’re just as bad as he is. Put your money where your mouths are, stop whining and take action.

Rotten tomatoes to nosey people who don’t know how to mind their own business. Please respect the choices of others and worry about your own lives.

Rotten tomatoes to depressive people that whine too much. It gets annoying and repetitive. Stop it with the pity party and grow up.
