• Roses to Mayor Doug McCallum as Elections BC rejected the referendum and once again, citizens proved that they are with him, no matter what. Rotten tomatoes to the people who are disrupting the smooth running of council meetings at City Hall.

• Red roses to the Surrey Police Service for sending 10 officers down to Abbotsford to help people recover from the massive floods. That is amazing. Your compassion knows no bounds and is without a doubt, invaluable. It’s a shame how not everyone appreciates such dedication, hard work and kindness.

• Wow! Wish you were our mayor. Roses to White Rock Mayor Darryl Walker who is having an in-house public meeting, wants to see people and lose the Zoom meetings.

• Red roses to City of Surrey for all the hard work clearing storm drains.

• Sorry to have to send rotten tomatoes to Steven Pettigrew, who I really planned to vote for in next year’s election. But when I read he didn’t think it was anybody’s business as to whether he or anyone else is vaxxed, I knew he was the wrong guy for me and anyone else who cares about the health of all the other people around them. How can Pettigrew – and all the others – look at COVID politically and not think of your family, friends and all the other people around? I am 77, diabetic and overweight, but I don’t want to die of COVID. Hope this loses some more votes for you, Steven. You are not the man I thought you were!

• Rotten tomatoes to city of Surrey councillor Pettigrew spewing untruths and fear mongering about the vaccine. I guess that means he’s not vaccinated. Guess that means you won’t be attending any more council meetings. Bye!

• Rotten tomatoes to the woman constantly yelling to her son what to do in the 4-5-year-old group playing soccer. Let the coach coach. You ruined everyone’s day.

• Roses to those who helped me find my car keys when I dropped them in the lot at Guildford Town Centre. Several people helped look, and they were found near a car’s tire, thankfully.
