• A red rose to my supervisor for guiding me and giving me some helpful constructive advice. Thank you for bringing out the best in me.

• Rotten tomatoes to Surrey with its “plastic bags/single-use items bylaw” final approval Oct. 18. Council bans plastic shopping bags but steadfastly refuses to recycle them in city blue bins. The same with styrofoam. “Drive them to a recycling depot!” Pollute more with additional car miles. Hypocritical.

• Rotten tomatoes to ignorant and careless people who walk into public places without wearing a mask and behave so rudely about it. Use common sense. Whether you like it or not, all public facilities are mask mandatory.

• Rotten tomatoes to Mayor Doug McCallum and his four councillors for passing a motion banning any political sign on private property. They are clearly targeting “Keep the RCMP in Surrey” members.

• Putrid tomatoes to the mayor and his cronies who insist on spending an extra $50-plus million to get a police force that will do his bidding while we have a fully capable RCMP force doing what they can with the limited resources given to them. Justifying spending that amount of money is a little hard to believe in this COVID era of ours.
