• Several basement suites full of rotten tomatoes to arrogant builders in Surrey who “complete” construction of their mega-homes and then proceed to work all weekend after inspection to add entire wings to the already-giant monstrosity. What you’re doing is totally illegal and shady and shows no respect for the laws, the neighbourhoods and this city. Where are all these additional tenants going to park? And heaps of rotten tomatoes to the City of Surrey for not cracking down on this practice that happens time and time again. They just issue the fine and look the other way. Shameful! I’ve lived in Surrey for over 30 years and am so saddened by what has become of this city and the disregard for the laws and the communities.

• A bushel of roses to all the police referendum workers for their tireless effort to revive democracy in Surrey!

• Roses for the firefighters, ambulance attendants, hospital staff, the doctor who treated my head and knee injuries and the young man who helped me and called an ambulance for me when I tripped and fell on a sidewalk and was injured near Surrey Central SkyTrain station on Oct. 5. Your kindness is appreciated more than you know. Thank you.

• Rotten tomatoes to drivers of dump trucks and semis who feel they can only drive with their engine breaks going down 152 Street in Fleetwood. Learn how to drive and to know the rules of the road in a residential area.

• Roses to the person sending rotten tomatoes to the Keep the RCMP in Surrey group. You seem to need some kindness sent your way because of your sour response to those setting up a tent in Green Timbers Lake Park in a supported democratic process.

• Red roses to Tara of Life Care Ostomy and Wound Care in Coquitlam. I needed a cancer bra and insert due to breast cancer surgery. With the COVID-19 situation, it was hard to find a business open. Tara was professional, compassionate and very patient, which was greatly appreciated. Thank you!
