• A beautiful bouquet of rainbow coloured roses to people in the LGBTQIA2S+ community. Please know there are good people out there who will always stand by with you. Never mind the ignorance among the narrow minded neo-conservative mentality because unconditional love always wins in the end. For those of you who have experienced homophobia and transphobia firsthand, do not hesitate to file a police report.
• Rotten tomatoes to the groups of people that are protesting SOGI 123 outside schools. Word of advice: yes, it’s a free country and everyone has a right to their own opinion. You do not have to agree with the lifestyles of people in the LGBTQIA2S+ community. You do not have to have coffee with them or be their friends or play cards with them. However, you might want to keep your own opinions to yourselves instead of openly broadcasting it out there for the whole world to see. We are in the 21st century and are certainly not going back to the old school. The 20th century is long gone and not coming back. Find something more productive to do with your time, like go to your jobs. What kind of message are you sending your own children when you protest outside their schools?
• Rotten tomatoes to the businesses at King George and 32 Avenue that fail to provide parking for their employees. Even more rotten tomatoes to the employees who park in front of residents’ homes, leaving no space for guests, service vehicles, or deliveries — and then leave behind a trail of litter in our neighbourhood.
• Rotten tomatoes to the City of Surrey for not keeping up with the amount of traffic our street carries. We are lacking left-turn single lights everywhere in Surrey. Why isn't 88th Avenue 60 km/h? The No. 10 Hwy to Rosemary Heights should have a speed limit of 70 km/h, followed by 60 km/h to King George Blvd.
