This morning at 8 a.m., hundreds of drivers and myself were stuck in the traffic at South Fraser Perimeter Road for almost an hour due to road work on Bridgeview Drive. There was no way out.
It is difficult for me to understand why the city would have granted permission for road work during morning rush hours that can potentially cause a traffic backlog of one hour or more for a five-minute stretch of road.
This is evidence of neglect and lack of judgement on the part of the administration.
If the administration is unable to manage the work schedule themselves, then we should have a new bylaw to ban all road work during rush hours.
