Hello Kin's Green Fighters,

I am so excited!  Your weight loss journey is about to begin and you will all be winners when you make healthy changes in your life!

I have snipped the strings of yo-yo dieting and would like to share a few of my best practices that may assist you to do the same. Small changes over time can make a BIG difference to your success!

Here are some tips on eating healthy:

I used to think I had to deprive myself of food to lose weight. The truth is I am eating more than I ever did before by incorporating healthy and nutritious food including lots of fresh fruits and vegetables into my diet. Good carbohydrates (carbs) are essential for your body especially when you are exercising. Skip bread and pastas, but include good carbs like sweet potato and quinoa.

Eat small meals often. A guideline for portion size is your fist. Eat a half fist each of protein, vegetables and good carbs at each meal. I eat 5-6 meals per day. And I eat on a bread plate so my mind sees a full plate and does not feel deprived.

Read labels; some are shocking! Natural and organic on labels can be a trap so make sure you read on.  Check sodium levels and avoid anything ending in "ose" (that's sugar).

Eat out less often.  Preparing meals at home just requires a bit of planning ahead, but the rewards make it well worthwhile!

Listen to your body - it will tell you when it needs nutrition.

I know you're going to know some of this information already because you, like me, have probably tried lots of diets. And you may be thinking "I already know that". But I've got to tell you – if you're not using it, you don't know it!  So DO NOT SKIP THE BASICS!

If you would like to read more about healthy eating, go to www.debrondeau.com and download a copy of my $29.97 eBook as my gift to you.

Next time – tips on water. We all know drinking water is important, but do you know how important? And what kind of water should you drink? That's right, I said what kind of water.

Good luck contestants!  I am on your side and will celebrate your every success!

And don't forget ...   it is NEVER too late to bring your "sexy" back!
