Winless in the month of January, the North Delta Devils have been eliminated from the Pacific Junior Hockey League playoff race.

The Devils have lost three times in the past seven days, extending their losing streak to six games, and are now 19 points behind the fourth-place Grandview Steelers in the Tom Shaw Conference with just eight games to play.

North Delta lost 6-1 to the Richmond Sockeyes in Richmond last Thursday, with Levi De Waal netting the Devils goal with three minutes remaining in the game.

At home Saturday against the Abbotsford Pilots in the Sungod Arena, North Delta fell 5-3. De Waal had a goal and one assist, with Colin Catchpole and Blake Gorrill also scoring.

In Ladner Tuesday night, the Devils dropped a 6-2 decision to the Delta Ice Hawks.

The Devils are at home Saturday night to play the Mission City Outlaws, then will be on the road Monday against the Port Moody Panthers.
