Preseason play begins for Eagles

The Surrey Eagles got a first look at prospects during training camp which wrapped up Wednesday at the South Surrey Arena. The Eagles play their first preseason game tomorrow at home against the Langley Rivermen.

Three days of training camp are over, and the Surrey Eagles will now play six exhibition games before preseason preparation for the start of the BC Hockey League season concludes.

Surrey will play its first exhibition game tonight (Friday) when they host the Langley Rivermen at the South Surrey Arena. Puck drops at 7 p.m. The following day, the two teams will play a rematch at the Langley Sportsplex, also at 7 p.m.

The Eagles play another road game Sunday against the Coquitlam Express at 2 p.m., with the Express the opposition again Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the South Surrey Arena.

Two games with the Chilliwack Chiefs concludes the exhibition season, with league play beginning Sept. 7-9 at the Prospera Centre in Chilliwack, where each BCHL team will play twice as part of the inaugural Showcase Event.
