The Surrey Storm ‘97 brushed aside the opposition, winning six consecutive games by a combined score of 67-7 to win the Spring Sizzle Pee Wee B girls softball tournament in Kelowna June 3-5.
The Storm were seeded first after four round robin games, defeating the Langley Rebels (5-2), Coquitlam Classics (22-0), the North Delta Sunfire (5-0) and the Nanaimo Diamonds (12-2).
The they stopped the South Delta Invaders 14-2 in a semifinal contest, wrapping up the championship with a 9-1 triumph in a rematch with the Sunfire.
