Team B.C. with their gold medals from the Canadian junior curling championships in Victoria back in January. The Tardi rink has been named the Curl BC Team of the Year.

The Tardi family are among the honourees at Curl BC’s upcoming awards ceremony.

Anita Tardi, from the Langley Curling Centre, is receiving the volunteer of the year award, while her sons Tyler and Jordan, and her husband Paul, are receiving the Curl BC Team of the Year Award.

Skip Tyler Tardi and his third, Sterling Middleton, have been named the joint winners of the Junior Male Athlete of the Year.

The winners were announced on Wednesday and the awards will be presented on June 3.

This is the fourth time the Tardi rink has won the team of the year award.

Tyler and Jordan Tardi are from Cloverdale, while Middleton is from Fort St. John — but now living in Burnaby — and Nicholas Meister is from Langley.

The team won gold at the Canadian junior national curling championships earlier this year and represented Canada at the world junior championships.

They just missed a medal due to a tiebreaker.

Anita Tardi is a long-time dedicated volunteer who helps run the Langley junior program, despite the fact her sons have long outgrown the junior program.
