Predeceased by her husband John in 1994, Eileen passed away on February 8th. Born in Birkenhead, England in 1919, Mum was married in 1939 to David Humphreys. David passed away in 1951, leaving Mum to raise three young children. In 1961, Mum was remarried to John Myers, a prince of a man. They followed their sons to Canada in 1966 and lead a simple but not always easy life. Mum had many jobs throughout her years, always trying to do the best that she could "for her kids". After Pop, John Myers died in 1994, Mum stayed in their Surrey apartment until she moved into The Kinsmen Place Lodge in March 2004.
She spent her remaining years in the loving care of the staff of the Lodge, for which the family is extremely grateful. She is survived by two sons, Ron and Ken and her daughter Joan, as well as grandson David Humphreys, granddaughter Suzann Rees, and great grandson Liam. There will be a simple family gathering in lieu of a funeral.
