DIMAYUGA – Soledad

Our very precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend “Mommy Solly” went home to the Lord on Saturday, June 17, 2006, her loving family at her side. For seven long months she suffered much pain and failing health but was a fighter to the end. Solly was 93 years old. She was born on November 12, 1912 in Lipa City, the Philippines and was predeceased by her beloved husband Modesto and grandson Ainard. Left to cherish her memory and continue her legacy are her children Lennie (Emmanuel) David, Clarissa (Teddy) Salazar, and Alan (Dolly) Dimayuga. Her grandchildren Ethelyn, Erwin (Melanie), Evita (Jomel), Emyly (Clem), Yvette, Gillian, Theo, Martha, Dundee, Mimi, Aviane, Astrid, Angela, and Anthony have been greatly blessed to have had Mommy in their lives for so long. Her great-grandchildren Austin, Christian, Nicholas, Genna, Natalie, Rachael, and Olivia were her pride and joy and they will always hold Mommy in their hearts and feel her love surrounding them. True wealth is measured in the love of family and friends, and Solly was one of the richest people the world has known. We will all remember her as one simple, wise, and deeply religious matriarch. The Funeral Mass/ Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 23rd, 2006 at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Church, 8840-119th Street, Delta, BC. Monsignor Luterbach, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Poor Clares Monastery in Mission, BC, and the Carmelite Monastery in Lipa City, the Philippines would be appreciated. Solly’s final resting place will be at the Gardens of Gethsemane in South Surrey, BC.
