Following a sudden stroke Friday, Zina

passed away peacefully Monday morning in Surrey Memorial Hosp. He is survived by Barbara, his loving wife of 58 years, children Wayne, Sandra (Len) Cranmore, grandsons Paul (Shanna) and Calvin. His great-grandchildren Chase and Alyssa. He was predeceased by two brothers Ernie and Eddie and is survived by one brother Doug in Ontario as well sister-in-laws and a brother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Zina Was born in Ontario where he spent his early years and joined the air force, before moving to Manitoba. He came to B.C. in 1947 with Barbara's family and they were married in March 1948. Zina worked in the steel industry for many years, before opening A&G Sporting Goods Store in Cloverdale in 1972. Zina was a Cub and Scout leader as well as a longtime coach of girls minor softball. Zina bowled continuously on the Airliner league since the Clova Lanes opened in 1949. Since retiring from their store he and Barbara have done a great deal of traveling in their motor home as well as on bus trips and cruises.

A memorial service celebrating Zina's life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday April 22 in Cloverdale United Church (17575-58thAve.)

A reception, with time for reminiscing, will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Zina's name, to the charity of your choice.
