• Coal to Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke. When is she going to quit this nonsense? She’s costing taxpayers millions! What is done is done. Go after the province for more schools instead.

• Lots of dirty coal to the home/business owners in Surrey who never wash their filthy looking windows and mirrors. It only shows how low this town’s standards have become. Where is your pride of ownership? The same goes to the homeowners who still haven’t cleared their front yards and sidewalks of all the leaves and debris. Shame on you!

• Truck loads of coal to the thoughtless people in Fraser Heights who keep dumping their dirty containers, plastic bags, coffee cans, glass jars, etc. into our blue bin. If you are so concerned about the environment, first check what’s allowed to put into the recycling bin. Next, wash all the containers, and last, dispose of them where you live!

• Candy canes to our neighbour Peter who volunteers and works so hard, rain or shine, getting rid of the invasive blackberry bushes in Douglas Park in Fraser Heights. We need more selfless people like him in Surrey. The same praise goes to the parks department for planting native species in the cleared areas of the park. Your efforts are much appreciated!

• Candy canes to the amazing Seaquam Secondary school students who are raising money for the Surrey Memorial Hospital cardiac lab. Please challenge other high schools to match what you are doing.
