Central City Shopping Centre and Surrey Neptune Seafood Restaurant celebrated Chinese New Year in style on Saturday, welcoming the Year of the Horse with cultural fun and festivities.
Dozens of prizes from stores in Central City were away, including a grand prize of $1,000 in Central City gift certificates.
The community event featured performances by past Central City Model Search winners, Miss World Canada delegates, Fresh Groove Dance Group and a Chinese instrument music trio.
There was also traditional lion dances, money god greetings, a magician, a China pottery exhibition, Chinese flour doll making demonstrations, rainbow calligraphy and more.
