The launching of the book A Soldier Remembers takes place Nov. 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Newton Library, 13795 70 Ave.
The book is a memoir by Second World War veteran Lt. Col. Pritam Singh Jauhal.
In 1993, he was not allowed to enter a Legion building during Remembrance Day ceremonies unless he removed his turban.
The book launch is presented by the Centre for Indo-Canadian Studies at the University of the Fraser Valley.
