B.C. Craft Cares for the Christmas Bureau

Langley man with passion for beer organizes 12 days of beer giveaways

With the overwhelming success of the first BC Craft Cares fundraiser last summer, where over $11,100 was raised for wildfire victims, Tim LaHay has decided to launch another fundraiser.

This time, the longtime Langley resident wants to raise funds to benefit the Langley Christmas Bureau and the estimated 1,760 children who will be relying on the charity of others to enjoy some toys and a nice meal this holiday.

“I wanted to do something for my home town of Langley so I am once again working with the craft beer industry and its fans to raise money for The Langley Christmas Bureau,” said LaHay who founded the Instagram accounts @craftbeertourist and @bccraftbrewers with more than 11,000 followers for each.

On Dec. 1, LaHay started his 12 days of giveaways on his fundraising page Click here.

And it can be found @bccraftbreweries Instagram account.

There are 15 B.C. breweries that have contributed prizes valued at more than $1,200.

Like last time, local brewer Trading Post is offering all sorts of prizes.

With a goal of raising $2,500, LaHay has already exceeded that in the first week of starting the fundraiser. Click here.

Once the giveaways start, people can continue to enter. There are a total of 18 prize packs being given away with multiple giveaways on the final few days. Once a person donates, they are in for every single one of the draws so the sooner they enter the better.

*Dageraad (Burnaby) Lekkers Spiced Dark Ale – Brewed with orange peel and caramelized sugar. Currently only available on tap at the brewery.
