Canada India Network Society hosts event on chronic disease

2021 event coincides with International Day of Yoga

The Canada India Network Society is hosting its upcoming 2021 virtual panel, with a theme of “Lowering the Burden of Chronic Disease Through Integrative Thinking.”

According to CINS’s website, speakers include “some of Canada and India’s most forward-thinking healthcare professionals and yoga experts.”

The event runs Friday, June 18 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Saturday, June 19 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

There will be a variety of “in-depth, engaging panels to discuss integrated thinking to integrated medicine in the context of COVID-19.”

Friday will include a conversation with Dr. Nagendra Chancellor of Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana on “integrative thinking and its role in health post-covid.”

Saturday will include speakers sharing projects and innovations “for building (a) healthy civil society.”

Sunday will include a morning of “experiential yoga and practice,” followed by a message from the Surrey Board of Trade.
