Vancouver Aquarium AquaVan to visit George Mackie Library on July 27.

Explore British Columbia’s coast at on July 27 at the George Mackie Library.

From 11-11:45 a.m., the Vancouver Aquarium AquaVan will visit the library.

Their program will discuss the kelp forest ecosystem along B.C.’s coast and demonstrate how all animals, no matter how small, have an important part to play in an ecosystem.

Their artifacts include sea otter fur and skull, abalone shell, killer whale jaw and more. Live animals will include a sea urchin, sea stars and possibly a hermit crab.

All children will be given a coupon for free entry to the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre with a paying adult.
