Surrey - The Editor, After the recent spotlight on Newton, things are back to the same old, same old. The neglect that this area of Surrey is subjected to can only mean that it is not home to anyone on Surrey Council.
Take a look at its major road medians, 72nd Avenue for one. The grass is often overdue for a mow, the edges are spilling over the medians and the boulevards are crying out for some maintenance.While the medians and boulevards in South Surrey get adequate maintenance during the growing season, this has not been the case for Newton.The neglect by the city has made this part of Surrey attractive to the wrong type of human element.J.D.
