Vancouver Aquarium's Aqua Van lead educator Sarah Evans showed a Bat Star to Grade 8 students at Frank Hurt Secondary earlier this week.

The interaction was part of a program involving the Aqua Van and Victoria-based rock band Mindil Beach Markets (MBM) The Jellyfish Project helps raise awareness among Canadian high school students about the importance of climate change and ocean sustainability.

The Jellyfish Project combines a live rock concert with a dynamic slide show presentation, and has been delivered to 80 schools (more than 40,000 students) from Victoria to Halifax.

MBM's live concert precedes their multi-media presentation. Then the AquaVan invites students to interact with live sea creatures.
