Run for eyesight charity

DELTA - World-class runner Norma Bastidas, a 47-year-old mother from Delta, is competing in what has been deemed "the world's toughest foot race."

In support of Operation Eyesight, Bastidas is hoping to become the only Canadian to complete the 2015 Badwater Ultra Cup, a threeevent series that covers 217 kilometres non-stop from Death Valley to Mt. Whitney, California.

In 2014, Bastidas broke the Guinness World Record for the world's longest triathlon.
