Get ready for the upcoming 2013 Seva Awards.
The awards, which honour individuals and groups for their “unrelenting and selfless” service (seva) to the community, will be handed out during the fifth annual Vaisakhi Gala & Seva Awards on April 26.
Past winners have included a group that helps feed the hungry, a community photographer, a seniors’ advocate and even a wrestling club.
The gala and awards ceremony takes place at Royal King Palace & Convention Centre, 8158 128 St. The evening features food, an art exhibit and plenty of dancing and other entertainment, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
