WHITE ROCK — Classical music lovers are in for a treat Sunday (March 29), as Encore Peninsula Concerts brings Sihana Badivuku (pictured), a well-known violinist from Prishtina/Kosovo, to First United Church.

Born in Kosovo in 1967, she attended musical elementary and secondary schools in Prishtina and became a student of Kiev State Conservatoire by the age of 16. After a long list of accomplishments, Badivuku's most recent successes include recording an album of Brahms sonatas.

The concert starts at 3 p.m. and stars Badivuku along with Encore's artistic director, Eugene Skovorodnikov, on piano. The pair will be performing compositions by Ludwig Van Beethoven and Johannes Brahms.
