Surrey Libraries is bringing their annual literacy exposition back to Cloverdale.
The Surrey Libraries Expo will take place at the Cloverdale Recreation Centre Jan. 27, 2024.
While the expo will be promoted at all city library branches, the main event will be at the rec centre.
“It is an all-ages event intended to spark curiosity, celebrate Family Literacy Day, and showcase many of the services of Surrey Libraries,” said Cortney Taylor, a communications supervisor with Surrey Libraries.
The expo will feature all the services Surrey Libraries offers to city residents.
Some of the things Surreyites can expect to see at the expo include: a Pop-Up library with the latest reading releases, coding sessions named “Dot & Dash” and “Bee-Bot Robotics,” several crafting stations, and book bowling. The expo will also feature an Early Years Play Area, among other things.
Taylor said the expo will have something for everyone, from kids to teens and adults through to seniors.
“It is quite a huge and fun event for us and our patrons,” she added.
The Surrey Libraries Expo will run from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Cloverdale Recreation Centre on the Fairgrounds. The rec centre is located at 6188 - 176th Street.
