An annual event organized to support Canadians affected by Alzheimer's disease will take place in Surrey this weekend.
The Investors Group Walk for Memories is set for Sunday, Jan. 26 at Eaglequest Golf Course, with Global TV's Mark Madryga in as emcee.
The "honourees" of the 2014 event in Surrey are Stan and Shirley Fryer. Stan, 87, has not only cared for his wife for the past several years, he has devoted his time and effort in helping others cope with caring for their loved ones diagnosed with Alzheimer's and other dementias.
