The Village Surrey Transition Initiative presents a free public screening of Dirt: The Movie on Feb. 19 at the Surrey City Centre Library, 10350 University Dr.
The film tells the story of the glorious and unappreciated material beneath our feet. Inspired by William Bryant Logan’s acclaimed book Dirt: The Ecstatic Skin of the Earth, the movie takes a humorous look into the history and current state of the living organic matter that we come from and will later return to.
Doors open at 6 p.m., screening starts at 6:30 p.m.
The movie will be followed by a dialogue led by Gary Jones, co-chair of the School of Horticulture at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
