Surrey Little Theatre (SLT) debuts the small stage musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown from Feb. 3-26.

The comedy, with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner and co-directed by SLT veteran and Bard in the Valley Founder Allan Thain and SLT newcomer June Ainsworth.

“We normally don’t produce musicals at SLT," said Thain, "but some of the young people encouraged me to stage Charlie Brown because there appeared to be very little opportunity to perform in musicals after high school.”

Ainsworth said the ensemble of young people who can sing and dance bring a vibrant energy to the "unique and different' comedy.

"This allows the two dimensional comic strip characters to come to life on the SLT stage,” she said.

Shows run Tuesday through Saturday at 8 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinees on Sundays.

Tickets are $15. For reservations, call 604-576-8451.
