A special visit from Santa himself is part of the fun at an upcoming family-friendly movie screening at the Clova Cinema.
The Dec. 8 morning matinee – featuring a family Christmas movie (still to be announced) – gets underway at 10:30 a.m., but young movie-goers can get their picture taken taken with Santa Claus by donation, starting at 9:30 a.m.
The photos will be emailed to you the next day, organizer Leeah George says.
The special screening is a fundraiser for a cause that’s near and dear to her heart: The Ride to Conquer Cancer.
David George and sons Kevin (Leeah's husband), Trevor and Cameron have joined with 14 more family members and friends under the banner, The Lymphomaniacs. The team has set a goal of raising $47,000 as participants in the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer.
It's the second year in a row for the George men. David is a lymphoma survivor. Proceeds from the ride benefit the BC Cancer Foundation.

Movie tickets are $5. They’re available by emailing leeahgeorge@hotmail.com.
