City Centre library is hosting a Film and Discussion series next week.
Movies include: Shudra – The Rising, about the struggles of Shudras, the lowest Hindu caste; The World Before Her, which examines the controversies surrounding beauty pageants in India; and Miss Representation, which reveals the under-representation and disparaging portrayal of women by mainstream media.
The films will be shown April 12, 5:30-8:30 p.m. and April 13, 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
