Surrey singer Jerrica Santos took third spot at the Karaoke World Championships in Ireland earlier this month.
Santos earned a spot at the international competition after taking the Canadian title in July.
The three-day American Idol-style contest pitted Santos against singers from 27 other countries. The top 20 were chosen after two days of competition and in the end, Santos emerged as one of the top three females in the world.
In 2004, Santos was on Canadian Idol and made it to the top 32.
