THREE THINGS TO DO in #SurreyBC: 'Winter Ice Palace' skating, Festival of Trees and wrestling

1. Put on your skates and check out Winter Ice Palace indoor skating sessions at Cloverdale Arena until Jan. 2. It features an old-fashioned pond setting, at 6090 176 St., Surrey. Open on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Admission is $4.50, skate rentals are $3.25 and helmet rentals are $1.75. 2. Vote for your favourite tree and be entered to win a grand prize basket during December’s Festival of Trees, a Seasonal Fundraiser for Children’s Literacy, at City Centre Library. Proceeds support children’s literacy and the Read to Baby Program. Visit Surreylibraries.ca.

3. The “Year End Awards” presented by All Star Wrestling happens on Friday, Dec. 30 at Cloverdale Fairgrounds (Alice McKay Building), featuring ASW cruiserweight title match. Tickets: Allstar-wrestling.com.
