The Surrey Parkinson’s Support Group meets the third Saturday of each month, and is in need of a volunteer facilitator.
Facilitators have flexibility in planning meeting agendas and are encouraged to share the leadership tasks with other group members.
Facilitators must be reliable, responsible, caring, compassionate, patient and willing to commit to one year of group leadership (a total of 10 meetings.)
Facilitators must have excellent communication and organization skills, a basic understanding of Parkinson’s or other neurological disorders and some experience working with self-help groups.
